Formed in 1908, Sandhurst Silver Band is made up of two individual ensembles. Sandhurst Community Brass, a non-contesting band made up of players ranging in ability, and Sandhurst Silver Band who compete nationally at the top level of brass banding.
The bands have their own bandroom in the centre of Sandhurst and as a development area, are looking to create a youth band in the near future. Both bands regularly host concerts in the Sandhurst area, as well as appearing further afield. So we look forward to welcoming you to hear the ‘Sounds of Sandhurst’.

Sandhurst Memorial Park

The Mayor of Sandhurst invites all residents to
attend this year’s Civic Service of Remembrance
at 10.45am on Sunday 8th November 2026 in
Sandhurst Memorial Park, Yorktown Road
A two minute silence will be observed at 11.00am, followed by the laying of wreaths. The Sandhurst Silver Band, Churches Together Choir and the Sandhurst & District Corps of Drums will be providing musical support
Please note: parking will be restricted
(The Yorktown Road alongside the Memorial Park, between the Wellington Road and Park Road junctions, will be closed to vehicles from 10.40am for the Remembrance March, with a diversion in place.)
On the 26th August devastating floods and landslides severely impacted areas in Nepal including Rasuwa, Trishuli, and along the Bhote Koshi river corridors, where several riverside towns and settlements have been swept away.
Given our valued Nepali community in Sandhurst, Sandhurst Town Council unanimously agreed to support the flood relief efforts and will donate to the Nepal disaster relief fund and promote the fund on our Website and Social Media platforms.
