Sandhurst Voluntary Care

Sandhurst Voluntary Care is an organisation which has been operating in Sandhurst for over 30 years. Our main aim is to provide help to Sandhurst residents where support from family or neighbours is not available. This help is usually in the form of transport, to and from hospitals, local Doctors surgeries and Dentists.

Although the service is run entirely by volunteers who give their time freely we do invite clients to make a donation to offset costs incurred i.e. Fuel.

Retired?

Have some spare time volunteering?

Thinking of volunteering?

Why not volunteer with us?

Volunteers are needed for both Driving and as Duty Officers.

The work is very flexible and not at all onerous - for example, a Duty Officer is only asked to be “on call” at home for one afternoon (i.e. 3 hours) per month. As a driver you can commit when convenient to you.

All our volunteers will tell you that it gives a great sense of satisfaction in helping others in the local community. So, if you think you are able to help us by giving just a few hours of your time to act as a Volunteer Driver or Duty Officer, please contact us, we’’ be delighted to hear from you.

Do you need our Help?

If you need our help you can contact us through either Sandhurst or Owlsmoor GP Surgery, although we cannot guarantee to provide support in every case, we do our very best to assist where possible.

If you would like further information please do not hesitate to contact us.

Contact: Chairman, Mrs Sue O’Sullivan on 01344 774357
